Lazy Friday – The Naming of Patterns

     For me the hardest part of designing a new pattern is giving it a name. This is the start of the second square of a new pattern and even now I have no idea what it will be called. I had been using my “good china” as a prop for photographing a friend’s jewelry and sort of just left it in the picture when I did my first “light test”. This happy accident of an image might provide me “name” for the pattern, because while I may not know the name of the china pattern, at least I know it’s Haviland.
